When one you are with does not match your mood, you can sing and dance to try to improve their mood. For whom are you dancing? Is it so that you will be more comfortable? Is it so they will feel better? Or is it a combination of the two? Perhaps they need to feel the way they feel for a while. Perhaps there is a lesson unfolding for them. Would you wish to cut their lesson short for your comfort? Make an effort to raise another’s spirits, but if your efforts fall flat, respect the others’ state and send them love. Now shower that love on yourself and you will have no need for another to make you comfortable.
You are so very loved.

Thanks. Great to know. Hadn’t thought of it Like that.
Yes, I am most grateful. When Sanaya posed the question are we attempting to cheer up the other, or so that we may be comfortable? This gave me an opportunity to ask myself where else in my life where I might be considering my comfort to be above the greater good. I see there may be other areas of opportunity and again I am so grateful to you. Much love
Wow! This is really a big Message here.. Thank you Suzanne and Sanaya.
Especially with my younger daughter when she is down I am down.
But after it passed I know there was a lesson, for me- not to think of my ego- to give her time, for my daughter- so she could grow -too- we both learned. Next time I just give her a hug bc now I know that what she needs to comfort her .No lectures or MAKE her understand.
We are both Empath and very touchy when emotions get high.
Cheering up is no help actually.
.
This makes perfect sense to me
What a perfect bit of timing for me to read this!! Amazing Really!!
I just asked/logged my guides to bless and support a loved one experiencing severe mood swings associated with a diagnosis of depression. I needed a direct/clear response. I opened Moods and there was my answer: They may need to experience this now. I totally feel that in my heart. Thank you Suzanne and Sanaya! This is so fun!
Dear Ana,
I understand exactly why you might think this daily message about Mood is just right for you or your loved one. And maybe it is… But when this began to happen to my son at around age 18, I didn’t know about Mood Disorders because the American Psychiatric Assoc. had not just released the new definitions/traits of depression on a spectrum. Nor were there FDA approved medications in 2000. That meant my son floundered about, going misdiagnosed by doctors for 15 years, leading Andrew to self-medicate as well. He found a Dr. Brown somewhere in Oregon, (we think) and finally had some relief for his hypomanic (not manic) symptoms and the swings into short episodes of depression for about seven years. But it didn’t last because the medications eventually stop working and a regular check-in with a physician is crucial! The pandemic and his travels made that difficult. In the end, the illness got the best of him, and he crossed over last September at age 39. I just finished a meditation on Suzanne’s website, and moments later saw your comment. I will claim that as a synchronicity, Ana, because of the intensity of my urge to write this. Please go to psycheducation.org to find everything you need to know about Mood Disorders. The website is managed by two doctors who wrote the book: Bipolar? Not So Much… You can find the book on Amazon.com and it’s about $15.00 for hardcover. And love, love, love your person with this condition. BE NEUTRAL (today’s Daily Message!) as you observe the ups and downs– do not take anything personally.
If you would like to talk, please send me an email. I am sending love and light to you, now. Denise
Oh my goodness Suzanne. This was so perfect for me yesterday. Thank you! :)
I, too, was led to read this post today, and the comments, which I usually just skim before moving on to the next page. Thank you to all that is.
This message was so impactful to my heart. We never want anyone to feel – sad, mad, depressed, unhappy. We always feel that we need to lift them to a happy place…… but realizing that they may need to feel what they are feeling for awile…. there might be a lesson happening is such a eye opening perspective….. thank you…
