Do not be afraid of what is new. Be curious. Step outside the story of you and observe as One with no name, no fears, no judgment. In this higher state with greater perspective, ask how this new development can help you when you shift your perspective back to the story. If you feel fear, you are still in the story. At times, of course, within the story fear is warranted. The goal is to remain safe and to evolve. For the highest discernment, however, it behooves you to shift higher. This is the awakened way.
