A New Year Prayer

You cannot fail. You can only fail to understand how you fit into the grand scheme of things. If you think this earthly world is the only world, then you will fail to see love all around you. If you think that physical matter is really solid, then you will fail to see that all is energy, teeming with information. If you think that you are limited in any way, then you will fail to reach for the stars.

Think outside the box … the box that being human has put you in. It is learned behavior. So go beyond the walls of this self-imposed and other-human-imposed box and set the intention of getting to know the world beyond thought and beyond the physical senses. “Hear my prayer,” you can begin. “In my heart and soul I know there is more. I set the intention today of getting to know the soul that is my greater self and that is connected directly with a greater reality. I surrender my focus solely on earthly things and earthly matters and ask my guides and angels to lead me gently in the direction of Truth. Awaken me. Lead me. Guide me. I am ready.”

And you have opened the door. Now simply remain aware … aware of what? Your soul knows. What is it telling you? You will begin to hear and feel the voice now that you have set the intention so clearly. Pray this each day in moments set aside for this purpose, and what you call “a new year” in your human world will be a new beginning each moment.
