Competition … is it a good thing? It is if it serves to bring out the best in the human form and thereby reveal the greatness of that which impels the human form—pure Spirit. It is when competition serves only the ego, that those involved in the competition do lose the value of the experience. If used to beat the chest and to feel oneself separate, then competition helps not the spirit.
Remember always that each being is unique in its abilities, but none is any more special than another. May competition serve to show that all are special. Your Special Olympics do this on a grand scale, showing that what is important is not the competition, but the revelation of the true spirit of love.
"…none is any more special than another." We are all one, and the true spirit of love within rejoices when another experiences victories.
On to letting go of ego today as we send out the love to all…
There are some that feel Special Olympics is just about the medals. But I was there and I saw LOVE everywhere.
