You are told to love your enemies, and perhaps you scoff at this. “How can I love someone who does those things that they do? They are not deserving of my love,” you may think. And perhaps you are thinking of love in a passive sense — a feeling that arises without effort when you enjoy a natural resonance with another. In this case, however, we are speaking of love as an active verb. To love someone is to send the highest possible energy their way in the hopes of uplifting and healing them … to wish someone well so that they no longer lash out in pain and hurt others. Yes, that is why there is dissonance. Send loving energy to heal the pain and watch how the word “enemy” no longer makes sense.
You are so very loved.
