Why would you not do a favor for another? Why would you not say yes? Ego has many reasons why not. It feels there is not enough to go around. It worries it will be last. What if there were no ego—no sense of a separate self? Why, then you would see each other as fingers on the same hand, toes on the same foot, all parts of one body, which you are. The body of humanity currently acts quite strangely, but only out of ignorance of your divine unity. There is every reason to say, “Yes, let us collaborate; yes, let me help you,” for in so doing, you are helping yourself.

I wonder how many answers i have made to that question… so it should be easy to define all those places where ego deceives importance.
Yet, we hang on to that crap.. and let ego run its strange courses, taking us to odd places… places we dont even really want to be.
We ARE a strange lot. We gotta get out of this mess in our heads…. Gotta stop taking the long road home – home to our selves, thereby to our spiritual community. Hopefully that is what we will and are all aiming for, albeit awkwardly.
