Passing the Torch

When can the passing of a loved one turn into something good? When you see it as an opportunity. In this case, we choose the use of the word “good” to mean bringing more love into your world. When it seems the light has gone out of your life, this is precisely the time to bring more of it in—in remembrance of the one who now watches from beyond the veil.

Perhaps you are reading these words as a result of a passing. The physical loss has led you to this place on your path. And so, we urge you to go forth and shine as brightly as you can upon others, taking all of the love your loved one brought into your life and bestowing it now in the form of your love upon others. Do you see the chain of events at work here? In this way you are passing the torch, only the torch your loved one passed to you has not gone out. It still burns on in the form of their eternal spirit, which urges you now to think of them with each loving act you perform. It burns on in the form of you, and it is ignited in those who receive the gift of your combined lights.
