Pieces

Picture a puzzle with its pieces on a table. Whether put together or not, all of the pieces are there. You experience a sense of satisfaction when they are all put together to form what appears to be a solid picture, but was it any less complete when the pieces were spread about? The latter is simply a different way of displaying the same information. You are simply used to seeing the entire gestalt.
What you consider “you” is an amalgamation of experiences, thoughts, and information. You see a body and you perceive “you” as a whole, but you are far more than the body. You can put these so-called pieces together in different configurations, including joining your mental experiences with those who no longer have a physical body. Ultimately, there is only Wholeness. You and all those you have ever and will ever meet are pieces of this One, scattered about for a bit, but no less Whole. You are so very loved.
