Are you always looking for shortcuts? There is no shortcut for Life. It is eternal. You have all the time in the world … in the Universe, where there is no time. Why do a thing if you cannot do it well and fully? You are here for the experience, dear one. You have learned to rush … convinced yourself there is something better that lies beyond this present moment, and so a shortcut seems quite tantalizing. Come to value this moment now, and the next one will not pull you quite so magnetically. Slow down, breathe, and you will find the peace you have been rushing to get to is right Here.
You are so very loved.
Tantalizing shortcuts.
Magnetic efficiency.
Turmoil avoidance cloaked in fear
Abstinence
When young, my parents asked:
“What is it you want to be
When you grow up!”
“A Hobo,” i said, adding nothing more.
But i never meant homeless.
It was how i felt about the world,
The planet made sense to me.
Humans, not so much,
But i wanted to see them
In a different light
than in the way i was seeing them
In “the world” i was living.
I knew they’d be different
If we were all Hobos
I was in abstinence mode
Afraid if how little i liked the world in which i lived.
There was a magnetic efficiency in the adoption of the Hobo life
A natural transition from a previous life
It was an answer for the spur of the moment
That held many grains of truth
And still do
And likely will
As i lay upon my deathbed.
These days, it’s not the only answer.
These days i add much more
about life and all the Hobos i have met, on this path, of this journey, in this world, from which will blossom my next.
