Worn Smooth
How many old hurts do you carry around? Did you know this is not necessary?
They are like stones in a pack you carry on your back. And oh, every once in a while do you not reach
inside and sift through the stones? “Ah,
yes, there is that one and that other,” worn smooth now by so much handling
over the years. Did you not realize that
you may leave these by the roadside?
There, over time, they will return to dust. Left in your pack they merely weigh you
down. You know enough about forgiveness
and non-judgment. Isn’t it time to
lighten the load?
