You look in a mirror and out of habit you say, “Oh, God, I look so awful!”  And this very thought creates undesirable emotions that keep you stuck.  We ask you today to do a little experiment.  Look in the mirror with a neutral expression upon your face.  Begin by saying, “I look so bad.”  See what you see and see what you feel.  Close your eyes and take a brief pause.  Now, with no change other than your thoughts, look as you say, “I look so beautiful.”  Watch very carefully as you hold that thought.  Watch the eyes.  Watch as the entire face begins to change, even though nothing has changed but your thoughts.

Think of a time when someone has said, “You look so beautiful,” yet inside you did not agree with them.  What were they seeing that you were not?  You are both physically seeing the same thing, yet your thoughts are creating and ever changing your reality, for perception is reality.

Now look upon your world.  Is it awful or is it beautiful?  How can it be so very different to different people who are in the same situation and place?

Begin by looking in the mirror.

Try it, why don’t you?
