Awareness of propensities can be most helpful. Do you have habits that might be causing you or others strife? Perhaps you are so used to these habits you do not even imagine a different way of being. Look around you. Are others calm when you are nervous? Are others experiencing peace while you worry? You may be quick to respond that you must do the things you do, think the way you do. Did you know that “should” and “must” are part of human nature? The soul is rather neutral, like a helpful inspector brought in to assist without judging. Step back and observe where you might be acting out of habit in ways you may have or outgrown.
