Step back. You wish to have a spiritual awakening? This is all you need do. You are used to seeing the world as “Just me.” You are used to turning outside of yourself for help. You believe the spiritual search involves looking for something separate from you, even when sages have been saying for ages, “I and the Father are one” and “I am That.” Step back. Who or what is able to step back? “I AM” you reply, and in saying these two words you have gotten a bit closer to the end of your search. Now step back again and again and again until you find the Subject of your search, not the object.
You are so very loved.
This “stepping back” is the essence of the ‘Enlightenment intensive’ method created by Ramana Maharshi, and taught since by many teachers, including Archa of Toronto-based Sahaj Yoga. Ur is one effective way to enter a torally sufferent rwalm, one dubbed Sarvikalpa Samadhi in certain lineages of Hindu yogic practice.
I love this. So very profound. Thank you!
Is it not wonderful that you already have the potential and ability to stand back, to look back, without being back there? Are we creatures not born with amazing natural gifts to enhance an already amazing life? Would you have thought to give your creations these same gifts?
Indeed you have!!! There is nothing new under the sun. You create what is but a reflection of that which already is. Your appreciation of creations reflects who you are at that moment in time. That moment may repeat its appreciation, add to appreciation, or forget appreciation but if you do look back, stand back, you will realize you did not actually forget, even though you simply did not include to look at all the appreciation you hold in your being. You likely got sidetracked by the wondrous life you get amazed at.
