Be cautious of labels when you use them for a grouping of people. Suddenly, all must conform in your mind to certain traits and characteristics. This you understand as stereotyping. Each human is a tapestry of unique traits, unique characteristics. What percentage of these put them under the labels you give them you cannot know until you truly get to know them. Until such time, why not label them “fellow soul,” for all of you are in this human experience together. Labels may be helpful, but they are also divisive. You form one body of humanity. Together. Find the similarities and thrive.
You are so very loved.
Namaste. Thank you for this. Identify as a soul having a human experience. Bring your light to others.
Thank you for these posts everyday. I am forever getting a WOW moment.
This is so helpful today. So many label me, think they know who I am, who I should love, what I should do or not do in this life. It’s been this way for 2 decades now, often controlled or attempting to be controlled by other academics who convince some they are right. I have never liked labels. I have “32 Flavors & then some” (great song!) & I know who I am, with flexibility & compassion, always learning but with free will to go through this life in the ways that feel best to me, feel most like who I am, feel loving & full of life. Thank you SG & Sanaya. Thank you.
I love this. Thank you. I feel a shift inside toward loving embrace of another when I say “fellow soul”. When I said it aloud the fear of differences melted away and made me smile.
At least try to start speaking without labels, even when you think they are necessary, to make things simpler. Simpler IS without labels… as it avoids the divisive attitudes we have all come to experience as the bain of reality that divides us to the point where a pretentious something became a something else. Yuck.
